Woodford Glen's Frequently Asked Questions


General FAQ


  • Can we bring outside food and drink?

    Yes, you can bring your own food and drink, but absolutely no glass containers or alchol. There is a huge range of food and drink vendors available on site also.

  • Is the stadium alcohol & smokefree?

    Yes, the Value Cars Warehouse Grandstand is entirely smoke and vape free. Smokers & Vapers must move to the rear of the stadium to designated smoking areas. Alcohol or any glass bottle is strictly prohibited.

  • Do you accept credit cards?

    Yes, we accept all major credit cards and offer contacless payment (paywave) please contact us if you have any questions.

  • Is there an ATM on site?

    No, unfortunately we do not have an ATM on site.

  • Can I book a Corporate Suite?

    Yes, please contact the promotions team here: promotions@woodfordglen.co.nz

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Because of the mix of people and noisy vehicles, no pets are allowed to be brought into the complex by visitors. Guide dogs and other bona fide service animals are welcome.


Seating & Tickets


  • Is seating available?

    Yes. There is a main smoke & vape free grandstand.

     We have bucket seating around the first and second track turns. Benches in front of the control tower. Bring a rug and a picnic to our grassed area and enjoy the racing trackside. Bring a deck chair, but please be considerate of others' view and remain at the back.

  • Can I buy a ticket before the event?

    Yes. Presale online ticketing is available via our website or in person at the Woodford Glen Shop. Season Passes are available with options to buy a full season at a discount,. Layby options are available from July each year.

  • What does the admission price include?

    Access to the seating areas for viewing the racetrack, toilets and organised trackside entertainment (for example fireworks). You may choose to purchase food and beverages, or souvenirs from our trackside shop.

  • Can I take photographs or videos?

    You are welcome to take photos for personal use only.

    We do not allow streaming of the events at Woodford Glen under any circumstances. If a person is caught streaming they may be removed and trespassed from Woodford Glen. Note this includes Facebook Live or any other streaming platform or technology.

  • Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

    Wheelchairs and other accessibility devices are encouraged. We have a dedicated car parking area close to our main entrance for people with a mobility pass.

    There is a mild grade upon entry up to the stadium which is completely sealed. We also offer a dedicated wheelchair parking area! . We have wheelchair accessible parking and compliant restrooms.


Times


  • What time do the gates open?

    Gates are open to the public from 4pm on the day of the event unless other advertised

  • What time should I arrive?

    It depends on the event. For major events such as Fireworks we recommend that you get there as early as possible. 


    Racing Starts at 6:30pm generally. Please check our calendar though as sometimes meetings may start earlier. 

  • When does the racing finish?

    We aim to get our racing completed in just over three hours from the first race starting.


Postponement and Cancellation Policy


  • Will the Fireworks go ahead regardless of weather?

    In the interest of public safety, in the event of adverse weather conditions the fireworks professionals in charge of the fireworks display on the night are required under WorkSafe regulations to cancel the display.

  • Our Postponement Policy

    Please ensure you are able to attend any postponed dates should this be required due to circumstances out of our control such as weather, natural disasters, and Pandemics. 

    Please retain your ticket  for upto four (4) races in case of a rain out or natural disaster. 

    Any ticket purchased will transfer to the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, your ticket can be used at any of our next four (4) nights to the same value or less, in the current season. 

    By purchasing tickets you are agreeing to the Woodford Glen FAQ's - Postponement Policy. No refunds will be given.
